“Young Folks” is a surprisingly touching pop ballad duet. This song brought vividly to my mind the fragile and exhilarating moments at the start of a relationship where one discovers that someone else may in fact be willing to accept and love you.
Whatever you’ve seen or heard about this movie, don’t be fooled: this is not a romantic comedy. Instead Eternal Sunshine is a poignant trip inside someone else’s mind as his memories of a past relationship are slowly destroyed. Love suddenly takes on new meaning as its remembramce is being extinguished.
This upbeat and catchy britpop song from their 1995 album I Should Cocois one best ode to youth that has ever been composed. Watching the music video, it is hard not to get infected by its rambunctious mirth and energy. This is indeed a musical prescription if you ever need to feel alright!
