A third-person shooter set in a Film Noir setting, this excellent sequel has all of the ingredients that made the first Max Payne adventure such a wonderful thrill: colourful characters, moody atmosphere, a great storyline, kick-ass cinematographic gameplay, matrix-like “Bullet Time” slow-motion, interaction with the environment and, of course, lots of guns!
Half-Life 2 feature a thoroughly immersive and engaging experience as you are drawn further into the ongoing saga of Gordon Freeman, scientist turned hero, and join the human resistance to Earth’s occupation by The Combine, a mysterious alien organization. Even if the underlying game technology has since been surpassed by other games, this follow-up to the ground-breaking Half-Life (1997) smash hit remains a mind-(and alien)-blowing experience of a rare level of intelligence and sensibility for any game.
