Thierry Gagnon wasn't born in the wind swept,
frozen plains of Finland. In fact, he has never
even been in Europe (well, maybe except that one time), let alone
any Scandinavian country for that matter. While we're on the subject,
he also has never been caught fixing an election
in some Third World puppet regime, as he has never, ever crashed
in the middle of some forsaken land, being forced to eat
grubs to survive as he fought wild beasts with his bare
teeth and bad hair. But, as some may have guessed,
he may live in the backward, French terrorist-filled, snow-covered
Canadian Territory of Quebec.
He did write
and draw Gerbilman on-and-off during the course
of 6 long years. Yes, that he definitely did. He also co-wrote
with his good pal Forg the wildly unsuccessful
Aliens
: Lovesick comic published by Dark Horse in 1997.
Some of his other weird and unpublishable work can (or will)
be found in Shimmering Waters.
He does
have a few more projects up his sleeve, including a series of
novels, a few short stories and a bunch of bric-à-brac.
He, of course, is looking for funding and a nice publisher who
likes sunsets, long walks on the beach and water-skiing.
He currently
lives with his wife Chantal as well as his
adorable son, the flesh of his flesh, the heir of all that the
sun touches, Raphaël.
