Solve word puzzles in order to defeat monsters and find treasures. This an action-packed follow-up to Bookworm offers a compelling game play that blends word games with role-playing games (RPG) elements.

Something is afoot in the Great Library! Will Lex the bookworm get rid of all the nasty critters that are infesting the library?

in Bookworm Adventures, you get to vanquish enemies by creating words out of random sets of letter tiles, with special bonus attack points and bonuses for bigger and better words, by using special gem tiles or other power-ups. As you advance in your quest, you get experience points that allow you to gain special abilities such as causing more damage or increasing your defense. You will also accumulate powerful special objects that will help you gain the upper end in word combat such as increasing the damage caused by words using rare letters such as X, Y or Z.

Boss battle!

The RPG-like game play and the variety of power-ups and the rewards for long and clever words bring a lot of fun to the game. It will certainly help motivate younger children and teenagers enjoy themselves while using their brains and exploring their vocabulary.

This game definitely has the PopCap polish and offers high-quality graphics and gameplay. My only deception is the relatively poor dictionary that did not recognize many of the awesome words I managed to find. It is extremely annoying to be able to use 8+ letters words with special letters and gem tiles because the game does not recognize them. I hope future updates of this game will fix this.

100% free!

However, don’t let this quibble prevent you from trying the free version online or downloading the rich, gorgeous demo version of this great game. Now’s your chance to really fight using words instead of fists. This demo lasts very long and is a must-try. You can even restart the game and play again up to the last demo level as many times as you want. This is my kind of demo!
