New version for the Shimmering Waters website

Welcome to the new version of Shimmering Waters (thierrygagnon.com), my personal website/blog. It contains essentially the same content as the previous version but it is now organised and presented differently to better reflect the way I currently use it.

Major changes

  • Less cluttered visual conception with a color palette based on ocre and burgundy instead of shades of blue.
  • Blog-type navigation structure.
  • Themes (or tags) used to identified related articles.
  • Article suggestions based on common themes.

Previous versions

Shimmering Water’s last major version was three years ago, in 2004. I had then transformed my website from basic HTML to a PHP based, database driven dynamic website thanks to the great publication System Spip (which I am still using.).
